At present, I am working as an Assistant Professor of English at Royal Global University, Guwahati where I am also the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Coordinator for Value Added Courses. I hold a PhD from Gauhati University. My doctoral research focused on Post-Soviet immigration literature, with a dissertation titled Hybrid Cultures, Plural Identities: Deconstructing the Hyphen in Contemporary Russian-American Literature.
Prior to this, I did my BA and MA in English from Tezpur University, Assam.
I have been awarded a seed money grant by Royal Global University to support my research project titled The Poetry of Chandrakumar Agarwalla: A Digital Anthology. With a grant amount of ₹1,00,000, this project aims to curate, digitise and critically present the poetic works of Chandrakumar Agarwalla, a prominent Assamese poet and a leading voice of the Jonaki era, best known for his poem “Bon Kunwori”, often regarded as the first Assamese Romantic poem.
